New programs in Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador

Hi All - I just saw on an agency website that they are in the process of establishing new programs in these countries. As a parent of a Guat daughter I am very interested.

Has anyone heard anything similar?? I will be glad to send you the name of the agency if you PM me

Thanks

Several agencies have begun to work in Mexico, with varying degrees of success, and one that has a longtime program there has recently gotten Hague certification. Only time will tell whether the new programs will work out.

Remember that, any time you go with a new program, there is more risk involved than if you go with an established program. However, if you work with a highly experienced, ethical agency, the risk will not be as great.

Could you pm me the agency name, as well. I had heard that Mexico had made changes to its adoption program.

Thank you.

Personally, I would really take a long, hard, look at these agencies and these programs....

Go to state.gov and look up the amount of visas that the State department has issued in the past few years... it is not many at all.

I know that now that Guatemala is closed, it is very difficult to find a Latino country open to ica...however, be very careful about these new programs.... many of these new programs never pan out.

If you guys are open to adopting a newborn domestic adoption could also be an option. There are many agencies that place Latino babies. Especially in CA and TX.

I've seen some agencies with Nicaragua as a new program as well. I think at some point you had to be from there to adopt but I can't find information to say that it has changed. I'm still hope GUA will reopen.
