adopting older children from Mexico

We are currently applying to adopt a baby boy from Kyrgyzstan, but would be like to adopt an older girl from Mexico in the next couple of years.

Is this allowed in Mexico? We have friends who run an orphanage close to the US border, so we know there are orphans...but are there many available for international adoption? We would not want a sibling group and I realize this will make things a bit more difficult.

Does anyone have experience adopting older children from Mexico? We would desire a girl ages 5-7 years.
