Nicaragua Adoption HELP!!
My husband and I are very interested in adopting a Nicaraguan Child- I am originally from Nicaragua and my husband is caucasian so we do not know where to start the process for adoption- can anyone guide us in the right direction? What do I have to do first? Or should find a Nica lawyer to help us out start the process? or SHould I just go to Nicaragua to visit some orphanages?
I am at a lost since I heard that the govt makes it very hard for foreigner to adopt. But my dream has always been to adopt someone from Nicaragua and I don't want to give up hope- it does not have to be a new born baby- We are definitely willing to travel there anytime. Do you know of any agency in Nicaragua that does adoption? Thanks for all your help, it will be much appreciate it!

My advice is to make sure the child you are adopting qualifies as an orphan. Go through an attorney both here and there. Email me if you want to talk about it more. My email is erikajj at yahoo dot com.

Also Interested in Nicaragua
We are also interested in adopting from Nicaragua. I have only found 2 Hague accredited agencies with programs in Nicaragua - MJL Adoptions, and Adoption Hope International. Does anyone know anything, pros or cons, about these agencies?

We would like to adopt a child from Nicaragua too. My husband has been on mission trips there several times and our hearts are so big for those children. Can you please pm me the name of the attorney used as well?

Hello! also interested in adopting from Nicaragua. Would you please share the information on the legal office and lawyer that has a program with Nicaragua? At this point, we have made up our minds and would really like to adopt a child from Nicaragua. We have a lawyer down there who could follow up on the process, but we do not know if it is required to contract with an adoption agency in the US for all steps of the process or if we can do the Nicaragua portion through our lawyer there.
