Which country fits best?
Dh and I would like to adopt and my first choice is South or Central America. We are 36 and 34 yrs old with four bio children ages 12,8, 6, and 20mo. We have fostered through our state before and after a year decided this wasn't the route for us. The two boys, ages 6 and 3 at the time, were great but the system wasn't. Dh and I are in good health and make a good living. We have some money saved for adoption but were hoping to keep it around $15K but could possibly eek out $20K. Of course, the less the better. Hmm...we would prefer a girl but would consider a boy. We would like an infant and the wait time to be less than 2 yrs max. Again, the sooner the better. We would prefer to not have to travel but would a minimal amount of time, no more than 2 or possibly 3 weeks.
Every time I think I have narrowed it down, I get baffled again. So hopefully you all can steer me in the right direction. Thanks, ![]() |

Have you considered Ethiopia? They are one of the least expensive as far as I know. Hope you are able to find your child!
