for the country and people of Nicaragua. There is a category 5 hurricane hitting there right now. This country is very close to my heart.
My oldest DS was born in Nicaragua, and his birth family is still there. We adopted him when he was 11 months old. I stayed with him in the capital city, Managua, for 3 months. This is a very very poor country, but the people have such a strong spirit. I am so worried for all my friends who are still there. I had two maids where I stayed, and I know that their families live in cardboard/tin houses. Same with my driver. It is not like these houses can sustain much wind! I worry so much for these dear people who were so good to this American woman!! So, if you get a chance, please say a prayer for Nica!!
