Nic Adoption Info
Hey all,
Jumping over here from the Guatemalan board. Have any of you used or heard of Adoption Society International for adoptions in Nicaragua or Belize??? If so could you please PM me any info.

Adoption #1 3-05 Our Journey Begins 6-21-05 birth of jc 1-11-2006 HOME FOREVER!!!!!!! Surprise #2 is on the way 5-8-07. Started paperchase 5-9-07 Home study completed 5-19, waiting on INS. 5-28-07 DS born 6-18-07 I171H arrives!! 6-28-07 POA and Dossier to Guatemala 7-31-07 DNA taken 8-7-07 Results to Embassy 8-11-07 Orphanage raided by MP 9-25-07 PA!!! 12-05- 12-08 visit 12-28-07 in PGN 05-06-08 BMI done with PGN and MP but not CNA.. May 28th -Baby is 1, wonderful visit July 14-17 Visit . Forged documents used. case turned to abandonment  .August 14-08 abandonment hearing Awaiting COA. CNA here we come..... 14 trips to Guatemala and numerous meetings and STILL NO COA!!! March 2009 Still awaiting COA (COME ON JUDGE!!) May 28, 2009 Birthday number 2 August 2009 Appeal's Court hearing, awaitng resolution....

You really don't need an agency for Nica. All you need is a lawyer there.

We have been in the process of adopting a sibling set from Nic since last December. All our paperwork is in the hands of Mi Familia, just waiting to have it looked at/approved. I found this forum, and I am so excited to talk with other adoptive families from Nicaragua. Not many out there. Heather
