almost completed
We are just a month from completing our adoption. It is a relatively new program and has taken a LONG time to get where we are. We have been the "pioneers" for our agency, being the first to complete (all but the last stage) an adoption from ES.
The country is beautiful, and the children are well taken care of. Any thing else you would like to know just pm me. Jody-Ann |

We are also hoping to adopt from El Salvador, and would also like any information about the country, program, and time frames, inluding which agency you used. Thanks

We were originally looking at China, but the door has been closed to us there with the new policies that they are imposing. We are just beginning to think about El Salvador and would like as much information as we can get about the process, the regulations, the time frame, etc.

We completed an adoption from ES in Oct. 04. We received our referral in Nov. 02. So, it was a long process for us. During the time of our process, I was in touch with one other family from our agency and two other families I met elsewhere. Everyone's adoptions took 2 years or more to complete. I keep hearing that things are improving and I really do hope so. In 04, there were only a few orphan visas issued for kids coming from El Salvador. So, the adoptions have been happening, just not very many. Good luck. My agency doesn't work there anymore, so I don't have any info in that regard.
