I am interested to hear about the steps you took to adopt your daughter. My husband and I are considering adoption in MX, since he is a Mexican national and I have lived there before as well. Did you go through an agency or go to the DIF of the state that you wanted to adopt from and then hire a lawyer on the U.S. side? Please let me know. My husband have just begun to learn about the difficulties of starting the adoption process. Mil gracias!

Hi Elizabeth, we just completed the private adoption of our son, Diego, from the state of Sonora in MX. The process was overwhelming and took nearly a year - too much to describe here. send me an private message and we can talk more if you'd like.
