Where are all the Nica families???
Hey, all you Nica adopting families! Where have you gone! Please update me on where you are in the process, and how things are going!
We have been together for over 6 months now! I can't believe how time flies. We have been home for almost 4 months!!! Timo is doing so well. He is talking all of the time, but can't say mommy yet. He can say everyone else's name, though!!  I have decided to go back to work 2 days a week, so he will be starting day care this week. I am so scared! It is hard to think of someone else taking care of him! I am only going to be working until April, though, and will be off until the end of the summer. So, it is not for TOO long! I hope to make enough to keep Timo in day care for at least a few weeks after the new baby is here. It will be a nice respite then to only have one child! The job is a consulting job for a large educational company, and I am really excited. It is so nice to get my brain working again! Hopefully your Nica adoptions are moving along. I want to know how many more kiddos are coming home!

Paperwork about to go to the attorney
Maryina is going to be visiting la familia within the next 2 weeks to let them know she wants the adoption. Because she's 11 that was one of the conditions. We are working on trying to get her here over the holidays thru a non-profit that does a hosting program for orphans. Fingers crossed!

we have recently made the decision that we are going to start the process of adopting a child from nicaragua. does anyone know who the mi familia person is we should write to, and what should the first letter say?

You would be better off to call them, if you don't speak spanish find someone that does that will help you. Their website with contact #s etc is Adoption.com - Information on International, Domestic, Child & Agency Adoptions, Stories, Laws - You can use googles language tools to translate it if you cant read the spanish

My first step in any case would be to hire a lawyer. They know how the system works there, and what language to use with Mi Familia. Just an FYI.......
