Asian adoption for under 25K?
Anybody know if there are any Asian adoptions available for under 25K total anymore? It seems like in the last 5 yrs or so, adoption costs from all countries have really skyrocketed. My husband and I would really love to adopt a toddler boy from an Asian country, but some of the costs being quoted on agency websites are crazy anymore. Also, do any Asian countries besides Taiwan allow independent adoption options?

Adoption Advocates International in Washington State, does Thailand adoptions very reasonably.
They only place waiting children, but many of those are healthy toddler boys. I think you can adopt thru them for under $12,000, including travel and all. We looked at them, but want to adopt a girl, and they don't usually get many girls. Also, I think some agencies would be under $25,000 for a Korean adoption. They are almost always babies, though, usually about 9 months old when they come home.
