Hi,
I need some help with the filling out the i600A form. I live in Presque Isle, Maine.
I have switched agencies and I am not 100% sure which country. I am leaning towards one country, India.
The question then is,
'what do I write in the block that says
USCIS office located at_____'Portland District, South Portland, Maine__
(ok not sure if that is correct or not)
and
The American Embassy or Consulate at__________
(do I put unknown?? or India???)
I need to get this done so I will be paper ready for a possible referral or match for a waiting child.

Your agency will have specific answers they want you to put. I would recommend contacting them.

I have contacted the agency and am sending the information they need. But I thought I would save time and do a couple of things at the same time. I have a home study completed and am so close to 'paper ready' i just need the I600A sent .... I suppose I will just have to wait

Hi Shivawolf:

If you are shooting for India, then in that block for the USCIS office location write in "US Embassy, New Dehli, India". We left the "American Embassy or Consulate" line blank. That's what our agency told us to do, and the paperwork went through. Are you using the agency from Portland?

I have put New Dehli, India. And the good news that I have learned is that if I go with another country the change does not cost anything. Have you adopted from India? Are you from Maine?
