Advice for adopting a Japanese Child
My wife and I would like to adopt a Japanese child but are unsure of how unique our situation is. My wife and her siblings were born in Japan. My wife is half-japanese and half african american. We would like to adopt a child similar lineage. My wife feels that she could help such a youngster deal with the issues confronted by a bi-racial child. Most importantly not only would the child be welcomed into loving family but a family that is proud of its Japanese roots. My mother in law still speaks very little english and would absolutely flip to have another grandchild to pass on the family knowledge.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how we could get started? I'm a newbie to this form but my wife and I are excited about the prospect of becoming adoptive parents. Thanks to anyone with ideas. Email Craig Treadway at tway12@aol.com |

Treadway
Craig, I don't have any info. on Japanese adoption and wish you and your wife the best of luck. I am responding to see if you know of or have any family by the name of Tracy Treadway, originally born Cleveland, OH on 3/25/60 and then adopted. I am looking for Tracy - she is my sister and I am praying we unite. Any insight Craig would be appreciated. Bruce
