The third was an interview with a birthmother and her perspective on adoption. The last was an interview about post adoption with an adoption counselor.

I saw the first two and gave up after that. I found them so 'watered down' they sometimes gave an unrealistic view of the adoption arena.
For instance, the second day they were to give an overview of 'open adoption'. While I am not in favour of open adoption, I thought there would be interesting conversation. Instead, they gave opinions of people w/in an agency, and presented one couple who though this would be a good way to go. However, this couple HADN"T EVEN BEEN MATCHED YET!!!!! I cannot imagine WHY they did not present a couple who were already involved with an open adoption and who could give insight and opinion as to what their scenario had brought to them, etc. !!! Made we wonder 'who' was in charge of this series in the first place. Certainly didn't seem like someone who was very familiar with adoption in general! Linny |

I agree with you Linny! They were "watered down" IMO also. The only one that even went into deeper detail was the beautiful little girl from China. Even that one was so out-of-the-ordinary-I mean, really, what average family can afford to go to China that many times. After watching all 4 of them, I was left thinking "That was it??"
