Pop-up Ads

Is the new wave of pop-up ads on this site driving anyone else bats? It used to be that just the main forum page had a pop-up, but now, it's in every forum. You can't go from thread to thread without them popping up. It's really annoying, and I'm getting the point that I don't even come to this site because of all the clicking I have to do to get rid of the ads so I can read the posts.

Completely agree that the pop-up ads are annoying but the revenue received from those ads is, more than likely, the reason we are all able to participate in this site without paying a fee.

Yes, the pop-up ads are annoying and yes they do contribute significantly to this site being free for us. In the past week or so something has obviously changed because there are considerably more pop-up ads here. I figure they rotate every so often but lately there are tons more of them "popping up".

I have something called adZapper on my computer. I no longer get any pop-ups. The weird part is we don't know how we got asZapper. It just appeared one day. Regardless, I love having it!

I have pop up stopper. It's free for download and stops about 75% of all pop up ads. Those things are almost as bad as telemarketers!
