Question starting with adoption

Hi All:

My husband and I are in Florida. We have strugged with infertility for the last 5 years, and have now decided to adopt. We are just in the beginning stages of the whole adoption process. Does anyone have any agency suggestion in Florida????? Also, any suggestions you might have at all would be very helpful.

Thanks- Joyce

Hi Joyce! You might want to try One World Adoptions in Hollywood, FL. JJ

Hello Joyce,

My husband and I are just starting our journey as well. We currently live in NC but are planning on moving to AZ. This might delay our home study. I don't want to do one in NC and then do another in AZ. If we move it wont be until March so I'm doing a lot of research and getting as much support to continue as I can. In all the forums I have read you are the first person/couple who are just starting their journey. That’s very encouraging, I was starting to feel like the last person at the party, if you know what I mean. I wish you a speedy end to your journey and I pray the Lord gives you the patience, we all need, to wait for his timing.

My best wishes for us all.

welcome

joyce & pooh bear -

welcome to the journey. pooh, there are many folks just starting out who will now gravitate to you and joyce for support. It's a never-ending circle. Thank goodness. I'm assuming from your post joyce that you are pursuing domestic adoption. If that's not the case, I highly recommend the agency we used to find our beautiful Russian son - williams international adoptions (www.williamsinternational.org) in Memphis. You don't need to be in the same state to work with them. If you are pursuing a domestic arrangement, I can't be much help with that, other than to be a shoulder and and ear. God's blessing to both your families.

to those starting the journey

You might try American Adoptions. www.americanadoptions.com
They are a national adoption agency with great success rates. They are easy to work with and they don't care what state your home study comes from. They give you a list of things that have to be in your home study and these items cover you for any state that your baby may come from. You might want to check them out. I have friends who adopted through them and were very happy with all the aspects of their adoptions. We are starting our second adoption and are using them this time around. Good luck in your search . The wait is well worth it!
