Adoption Subsidies

Do you know if the states that are listed as having higher subsidies actually pay that amount? I want to adopt, but as a single parent, the meager $250 a month doesn't help much when you want to give a special needs child exposure to new things and opportunities to find her talents.

Baby from Vietnam with Downs Syndrome

To make a long story short, there was a baby abandoned at three weeks of age that was later diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. His needs are more than the orphanage can endure and his attending Physician believes that he would fare much better if he could placed outside of Vietnam. Would anyone be interested in adopting this baby or does anyone know of someone that would like to adopt a baby with special needs? If so, please post and I can inquire further about baby Thien. i am from ohio and have adopted eight all at a slightly higher subsidy.the amount of the subsidy in our county is the same as the child gets in foster care usually . sometimes the agency will try to lower it at the time of adoption but i have never had them do this to me. a special needs child is now up to 450 a month that is for example someone diagnosed with asthma or adhd or many other not extreme disorders you will just have to look into your own county because they do vary some. write back if you want more info good luck
