I'll start by giving you some background info and then ask my question.

I placed Tyler in an open adoption 15 months ago. For the most part everything has gone ok. I've received letters, pics, phone calls, emails, and 1 video of his 1st bday. There was 1 visit with Tyler and his parents when he was 6 months old. There won't be anymore visits, but that's a story for another time. I talked to his mom on the phone a couple weeks ago. She said he was going to have blood drawn to test for lead. (we think I may have been exposed to it in drinking water while pregnant but are not sure) His levels in the first test came back in the high/normal range. When I talked to her a couple weeks ago she said she was going to send me a pic of his halloween costume he wore this yr. Since then I've had no communication from her. She isn't returning my emails, hasn't sent the pic she said she would and hasn't said how his blood work came out. I have her phone number and address but haven't attempted to contact her that way since the last time we talked. I don't know if I should or have the right to be upset that she hasn't followed through with she said she'd do. Could she be blaming me if his lead levels came back high? Is she trying to stop contact without telling me? Did I do something I shouldn't have? I don't know if I should continue to email her or try to call her and see if she's ok. Or to just wait and see if she ever gets in contact with me again. One of my biggest concerns is that if they didn't want the contact with me then why promise something they knew they don't want to do? I need some help from the other side to try to understand all of this. It's not the first time something has been said then not followed through on. Are they just busy?

I will be emailing you privately. Thanks for the email adress. Maybe you can send your amom a xmas card and see if that would work. That's why I kinda want to go semi with adoption. I don't want to promise the bmom something and not keep it. I'm sorry about your situation.
I hope your baby is ok. I don't know why she wouldn't call or email you back. It's not like you keep calling everyday or going to their house and bugging them.
I guess I would have to hear the whole story. I would love to write to you and get some of your opinions.
