An unblievable story of our adoption

My husband, of 22 years, comes home from work one day and says "honey i saw the tinest baby today, she was one day old! I told the mother when she got tired of it to send it to us" My husband tells everyone things like this. Well, just so happened that THIS woman was putting her baby up for adoption. In the next few days people were asking us if we were we adopting "so and so's" baby. We didn't even know who they were talking about. After two weeks of this gossip I went to see this woman. It was a cool May day when I pulled into her driveway. She came out to meet me. The baby was only in a diaper and she tossed it around like a rag doll! God, can you imagine what I was going through? She got in my truck and was smoking over top of this premature, underweight baby. I couldn't look at it anymore. I just prayed!
Anyhow, she had, apparently, thought we knew the baby was going to be adopted out. And since we didn't act upon it the first day she decided to give it to someone else. I gave her my name and number just in case.
I began asking people about this woman and the care she was giving this baby. The birthmother was a drug abuser. Someone told me that birthmother never allowed anyone to pick up the baby because she didn't want it spoiled. Two weeks later (baby 5 weeks old) she called me and said "If you want this baby come and get it!"
I went to pick her up. After the meeting she did drop the baby in my lap! My words came back to me. More to this story than I have room for , but to shorten it. The baby is mine! Blond hair , blue eyes, and as smart and sweet as a child could be. We even adopted the woman's next baby! God does exist!

I hope that hopeful Amoms reading this story realize that this Bmom is NOT typical. My experience w/Bmoms (my own son's Bmom, three Bmoms I know personally, and the Bmoms I have interacted w/on these boards) love their babies dearly, and choosing adoption is a loving decision. This Bmom clearly had some issues.

Thank goodness that God brought your family together. How exciting that you were able to adopt your child's bio sibling as well!! What amazing blessings God has sent your way.

To make a long story short I was there for the delivery and brought our daughter home the next day. We finalized 4 months later and this beautiful child has a family that loves her forever. I truely believe God had a huge hand in our adopton! We are blessed!
