final decision on name
DH and had a lot of trouble agreeing but we finally came up with Selena. It's greek too and not too common but not too bizarre. I know it's also similar to Athena but it's not quite as bad because with the A everyone kept saying Althena and this nobody has messed up. (I'm sure I probably will!)
Now a middle name: Selena Althea doesn't go too well but we could use Selena Nicole. Hubby says Selena Celeste (Celeste is my middle name) but I think it's too many S sounds. What do you think?

02/08: decided to adopt- researching which avenue to pursue!! 4/08: application submitted with agency 6/25/08 - officially waiting 6/28/08 - Matched!! 6/28/08 - it's a girl!! She's born!! 6/29/08- We meet the most beautiful baby girl in the world & the amazing mother that gave birth to her!! 7/9 - ICPC has cleared - we can go home!! 2/17/09- Finalized!!! After dealing with infertility, IVF & a miscarriage I finally realize what God had in store for us! What a joyful time to be alive!

Started our adoption journey on 12/30/07 We were Chosen by Birthmom- 11/24/08 Baby girl born 12/7-we were there for her birth Finalized 4/17 The m/c's, the infertility, the waiting, the failed matches, it has all been worth it to have our beautiful baby S. She was meant to be ours we just had to wait for her to come along! Our God is so Good!!!

I pick Selena Nicole too and the name goes really well with Athena. No mixing them up now.

Personally I think it's cute that they rhyme (Selena and Athena). They are similar without being confusing (or easy to mess up).
I place my vote for Selena Nicole (Selena Celeste is pretty, but Selena Nicole just rolls off the tongue better in my opinion) Congrats =D
