I know what you mean though ....... One person can say something and I'm like lol, thats K for ya! Then someone else can say the same thing and I'm like WHAT, who does she think she is?!! It really can depend on WHO is saying it!

I wonder how many people touched by adoption read that update and felt the same stomach cringe I did. She has 400 facebook "friends."

I know that sometimes we all say things that if we looked back later we would kick ourselves for saying....Including this one from our Princess foster mom:

In short, Princess was in visitation and having a little bit of a hard time with it. We ended up taking her back from a visit early on a Saturday rather than keeping her through Sunday. When we got to the foster home, we talked with the foster mom for awhile while Princess played in an adjoining room with another foster child and a grandchild of foster mom.

Trying to use humor to dispell some of the sadness of the situation in which Princess had said she didn't want to be around us, foster mom said "Well you could always just switch and take R" - R being their other foster child in the home. It wasn't clear if Princess heard but it would be hard for her if she thought they were just interchangeable like that, oh well you're upset so we'll go "shop for another kid"...oh there's one.

I know she was trying to make a funny comment but it could have been hurtful. I could tell that she realized it too after it was said and I really don't think Princess heard. I doubt she'll make that mistake again.
