OT laundry stains

So we bought an expensive newborn size outfit for baby Althea to wear for her pictures and it's really cute! She wore it for a few hours. Then hubby, who does all the laundry (doesn't put it away though, lol!) washed it BY ITSELF in the washer on gentle. We didn't want to buy a lot of newborn stuff for her because they outgrow it so fast! And we were a little hasty and gave all of Athena's stuff to the crisis pregnancy center a few months ago. Now the outfit has huge pink stains across the white part! I don't understand it because the pink is such a pale color that it shouldn't bleed. (Hubby has a habbit of washing everything together and doing that to other clothes also, though he insists he didn't this time!)
Does anyone know if there's a way to get these stains out?
Btw here's Althea wearing the outfit.

I've had sucess in getting even old stains out with pretreating, washing, then laying it out flat in the sun to dry. You may have to repeat it a few times. I've never tried OxyClean, but I've heard lots of people swear by it! Good luck!

Thanks for sharing the pic, I love new baby pics!

It will matter here what type of material the outfit is made of. (BTW, the outfit is lovely!) I have a great 'getting tough stains out' formula that was originally a 'Hints from Heloise' recipe. My mom had saved it from the newspaper WAY back when when our first two babies were, well, still babies! (They're in their late 20's now.)

It can be harsh to some extent; but I've used it on old tablecloths (yellowed from age), as well as most baby clothes. I've found though, I have to be careful NOT to bleach out any bright colors, or, at least, just dab it on specific areas if I don't want the entire outfit to be exposed. Let me know if you'd like it; I'll be glad to share.

Sincerely,

Linny

First, Althea is DARLING and so is her outfit.

Maybe you could try a bleach pen and then carefully rinse all of the bleach away from the colored parts of the outfit before washing again.

RIT makes a color remover for colors that bled.
