Sorry - weird question:
My coworker is going to an electrolysist (?) and wonders if she should tip or not. I think not, because it's kind of a medical procedure. It's being done in a licensed office and not in a salon. What do you think? Should she tip or not? Thank you! I just found out it's in the electrolysist's home, not in an office. She is a registered electrolysist. Sometimes it's more about the place than the service and in the case you've described I wouldn't tip. When I get a microderm at the spa, I tip. When I get it done at the place where I get laser hair removal, I don't tip.
The laser hair removal place has more of a clinical feel to it... Not sure if I'm breaking any etiquette rules, but tipping at the "doctor's office" doesn't feel right to me.

I have it done and I have never tip. Like PP said if it was like spa then yes but this is more like going to a dr office and I wont tip there.
