Very OT: Wii advice

So, I think we are finally getting a Wii. (Yep, we are behind the times a bit). Any suggestions? I know I need to get an extra remote and nunchuck. Otherwise... ??? My Amazon cart is awaiting responses.

Any advice for fun games for my almost 3 year old princess would be great, as well.
Melissa

P.S To all my FB friends, this is x-posted on my FB status.

I would recommend you get the Wii Fit to go with it. It will cost you an extra $80 or $90 bucks, but it is so much fun and great exercise too. I use mine everyday as part of a weight loss program and have lost about 40 pounds so far.

The charging dock for the controllers is a must if you don't want to be replacing batteries every day or two!

WiFitt is a must. I don't have it but I went to a training on learning and the brain. The only video game the speaker supported was the WiFit because it uses the body in a way to enhance the brain movements.

Get the FIT. It is a must. The Wii itself seems so advanced but honestly once we got the fit, we never use the wii by itself. I too would love to know a good game for almost 3 year old because I was considering just getting her the vtech motion. The whole system is only like $50.

We got our wii this summer. My first advice is to shop around--try going to google products and doing a search. We saved something like $80 over the amazon price.

We didn't get the charger base, we just use AA rechargeables which we use for everything else in the house so we always have fresh ones charged up. We honestly don't use it that often--the first few weeks we used it daily and changed the batteries out every 2-3 days but I think we've had the same ones in for a month or two now.

We only have the original disc and the sports resort. Those are both fun. We don't let the kids play video games so I can't comment on games for that age group. We do occasionally let them watch us play and we created Mii's of them so they can see themselves in the background or be on "our" team or sometimes we play as them. We have 2 remotes and the basic system (plus the remote snap-on extra-sensitive things that came out with the sports resort pack that make the remote more sensitive to positioning and are required for that game).
