I have an announcement.
May I proudly introduce to you my beautiful baby daughter Althea Nicole, adopted today!!!!
She was born Oct 3, and was 7 lbs, 13 oz. Here's a pic, with more to come! Thanks for sharing my joy! This situation was rather unexpected but of course an amazingly wonderful blessing for my family! :-) PS the bmom named her and I think we are going to keep the name! Whaaaah?!!! Oh my gosh, I am thrilled!!! I can't wait to see the pic (I am on my crackberry and can't see!!). Congrats...althea is a gorgeous name... I had a friend with that name...she was awesome! And so perfect with athena!

02/08: decided to adopt- researching which avenue to pursue!! 4/08: application submitted with agency 6/25/08 - officially waiting 6/28/08 - Matched!! 6/28/08 - it's a girl!! She's born!! 6/29/08- We meet the most beautiful baby girl in the world & the amazing mother that gave birth to her!! 7/9 - ICPC has cleared - we can go home!! 2/17/09- Finalized!!! After dealing with infertility, IVF & a miscarriage I finally realize what God had in store for us! What a joyful time to be alive!

June 2006- began adoption process September 2006- on the waiting list October 24, 2007- Best news! We learn about our son who was born on September 27. November 12, 2007- Placement Day! We meet our son and take him home. July 8, 2008- Finalization April 2009- began adoption process again May 2009- back on the waiting list
