First overnight w/out DD!!
This Saturday night will be the first night since A came home almost 3 years ago that mommy and daddy will be getting away. A close friend is getting married, the wedding is a couple of hours away, and DH and I are going and leaving A with Grandma.
DH is away a lot, so she's used to him not being there, but I have been away probably a total of 3 nights ever since she came home, and each time daddy stayed home. Ack, this is going to be so weird! I am both really excited and absolutely wigged out! I know I'm going to freak out ever 20 minutes - OMG where is she right now? Is she OK? Will my mother be able to handle her? I hope I can actually relax and enjoy myself. Too bad it's supposed to rain the day of the wedding, but I'm sure we'll have fun anyway!

Such a normal feeling. My first time to leave M with Grandma and Grandpa was awful. I must have called 5 times before he went to bed and I did not sleep because I was used to him at home and if I woke up I would go and check on him. Now with two....and they spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa occasionally, I still worry (they are 5 and 9 now). It is normal to feel this way. Go have fun and enjoy yourself.
