OT: Halloween

What is your child going to be for Halloween? DH and I have decided that Frank will be a garden gnome.

THAT is the BEST costume I've ever heard of!

I'm considering wrapping the kids in aluminum foil and sending them as baked potatoes.

Our 13 yr DD is going to be a gothic fairy (I tell her she is a scary fairy). Our 6yr old is going to be batman. I want our baby to be a skunk, but all of the costumes I find will have to be taken on/off everytime he we get him in and out of the carseat.

Tyler is going to be Winnie the Pooh and Matty is his Hunny Pot

I got both the costumes in the mail though, and they look enormous...so I might have to do some altering...

DD told me today she wanted her and DS to be teapots and DH and I to be creamer and sugar. Not sure that'll happen.

DS will probably be a frog again (last year's costume still fits) and DD will likely be a princess or a witch--both go fine with a frog.

I want W to be a "knight in shining armor" since I have a medieval princess costume that I wear every year when I pass out candy. For the life of me I cannot find that costume in 12-18 months. I can only find it in men's sizes. I even looked for "Tin Man" costumes from the Wizard of Oz. The smallest I could find in that was 2T. I found a cute "baby dragon" costume that will fit him. You know the knight in shining armor is always having to save the beautiful princess from the dragon. Maybe DH will have to be the Knight in shining armor and W be the dragon.

A few weeks ago the kids were talking about being characters from Greek mythology. Haven't heard anything since. I'm sure in the coming weeks a ton of ideas will float around and then a decision the week before only to be changed the night before.

If they change their minds 209835792835 times, I am SO stealing Green's idea of baked potatoes!

If you can't find the dragon you could do a frog--princess and the frog--lots of reasons for kisses.

My 9 year old is going to be a GI Joe ninja. He saw the costume and loved it, combining soldier stuff with ninja stuff, of course he is begging for accesories to go with it. (ninja stars, swords, guns, etc) DD at ten is thinking she is too old, however she saw a black fake rose at the dollar store and liked it, so she got that and some black hairspray. She is either going as just goth, or as Abby from NCIS. I don't think my teens have decided anything.

DD is going to be a turtle. The costume is just a padded hooded vest that has a turtle shell on the back complete with tail and eyes on the top of the hood. Then I am just going to get a green long sleeved shirt and green leggings for underneath it. I figured this would solve the problem of having to take her costume on and off for in the car since a vest is really easy to remove.

Madison is going to be Supergirl! It's adorable. It's all pink with the big "S" on the front with a hot pink cape. We're so excited to spend our first major holiday as a family of 3!!
