Anyone finalize in NC?
Hey everyone!
I know finalization is different in every state and I was hoping that someone on here had finalized in NC... Do you have to appear in court? If so, what happens during the proceedings? Do we have to speak or anything? Sorry - my Type A personality is kicking in and I'm trying to prepare for our finalization (which we've yet to have a date for!!!!!). Thanks!

We finalized our second son's adoption in NC (for an interstate placement - OH to NC) in October of 2007. We did not appear in court (Mecklenburg county) - the clerk of courts here finalizes it and sends you the finalization documents.
