Joshie ate a moth tonight

Will he live? I tried to get him to throw it up but wasn't successful. Then one flew in his face and he started screaming. So I picked the moth up and let it set in my hand (I'm totally not fond of ANY insects, BUT) to show him he doesn't have to be afraid. That was after he'd already eaten one though. ARGH!

Blessings, Michelle

He'll live, but that sure is gross!

You're stories about Joshie crack me up! I actually feel bad about laughing, but he is SOMETHING. I think he could give my Hayden a run for his money, LOL!

Michelle!?!

Do you ever have a quiet, boring night/day at home? I love hearing your Joshie stories. He sure does keep you on your toes!!!

I caught Tyler once with a live beetle in his mouth. It was so traumatic...

I'm fairly sure that moths (and other insects) count as proteins in the food pyramid. Nothing wrong with it, though it probably would have tasted better with a dash of ketchup.

hehe Cady took the top of a strawberry and stuck it up her nose when she was Joshie's age. We found it probably 2 days after she had done it. She kept saying she had boogers in her nose that wouldn't come out!

Between the strawberry in the nose (ooouch!!!) and the moth mouth I'm reliving my moth ear incident.

Next time i see ANY threads with the word moth in it i'm avoiding it like the plague!

Kids eat bugs. A little extra protein won't hurt them. At least bugs are edible, some of the things I have waited to pass were not.

Knew of a kid who ate a slug. The mom salted it to get it off his teeth. It foamed up...but did eventually fall off.

At least the moth was out of sight quickly and should do no lasting harm.

I think I've purposefully blocked the memories all the things that my kids have put in their mouths. I can't think of one. (Fingers are in my ears...LA LA LA can't hear you!!)

Yes, Joshie has stuck stuff in his nose too...a piece of macaroni and I had to hold him down and retrieve it with that snot sucker thing they give you when they are infants. NOT a pretty sight, but I did save him from an ER trip to get it out.

And no, no boring nights at home, unless Joshie isn't there for some reason!

Blessings, Michelle
