I prefer pampers but we get huggies when on sale. We also have had luvs and they seem smaller/thinner but have functioned just as well as the others.

The new Huggies Pure and Natural, followed by Huggies Supreme, and Huggies Overnights for nighttime. Luvs are okay for cheapies. HATE Pampers - they always feel damp to me on the outside. Walmart brand has elastic that causes my DD to break out around the edges of her legs and then it blisters. OUCH!

Just watch out for shipping costs on ebay, they often kill the deal

If you're talking cloth, we've the g-diapers exclusively with our son (10 months now, from when he was 19 mos to now) and we put a cloth diaper insert in there. I like it a lot because for most diapers we just have the insert part to wash and we refill it (so no need to wash and dry the whole all-in-one or the whole pocket-diaper in-and-out. If it's messy, we may have to snap out the vinyl liner part put can re-use the outer pants or, for really bad, we end up washing the whole thing. And if we're on vacation or out around town or something we can use the disposable inserts (run about 25 cents each; comparable to Pampers) and just toss/flush them. In 10 months we have used fewer than 30 disposable inserts; all of which came with our starter kits for the diapers.

I won't go into all the details, but if you can find the g-diaper pants for a good price and want to try it this is what we did:

And They Never Slept Again (AKM3): Everything you ever wanted to know about cloth diapering with g-diapers

For cloth I have tried just about everything. I like fitted diapers with a cover, or prefolds with a cover, because they seem more breathable. We also use pockets (bumgenius etc) and I like those for night time.

For disposable when TY was first born, I used Huggies. Now, I just buy either 7th gen or Earths best, or whatever is cheap cause I only use them when we are out and about.

I am going to use disposable diapers. How many would you say you used in size 1's?? Its been 7 years and i cant remember how long my son fit in that size. i know its different for each kid depending on how big they are and how much they grow, but i dont want to over buy. I have like a total of 200 size 1 diapers. I dont know if that is going to be enough or not. Thanks, Rach

Are the huggies pure and natural really worth the price?? are they as nice and soft as all the reviews say they are?? i really want to get some, but i'm afraid they will be just the same as the rest of them and then i'll be mad i spent more money.

I like Huggies but are spendy so we use the Target generic during the day put a Huggies on her for overnight. It's worked pretty well for us and I don't feel like I'm spending premium for disposibles. The only diapers I have tried that I truly hated were the Walmart generic diapers. I am thinking about cloth diapering our next though.

I prefer to use a diaper service with prefolds. I made my own fitted diapers and use a prefold inside. I can then put the wet/messy prefold in the can and set out for the service. I wash my fitted ones myself. As far as covers I have a variety of wraps (I like kushies). For night I use 2 prefolds inside a fitted, a diaper wrap and a pair of pull-on plastics. This works well to contain anything my 2-year-olds do. No wet beds with this method.

Rach, they put the weight range on them. I think the size ones go up to 12 pounds. I don't remember for sure, but I know Kee was out of them very fast and we have a bunch left. Pampers has a nb with a cutout for the umbilical stump and these are OK but will be outgrown even more quickly. The next size up will usually work and then they can stay in them longer.... like now Kee is 6 months and he is in a size 4 and Athena is in a size 5 but he can wear the 5 just fine so next time we buy more we'll get 5s for both. They outgrow EVERYTHING so fast!! (Don't get me started on the clothes they haven't even worn that are now too small!!)

Seriously???? Ty is only in a 3 and my niece is 2 and she's only in a 4...and my sister has BIG kids. Your two must be HUGE!!

edit: Okay I looked at a size chart (we don't use sposies much, can you tell) I guess they could both wear 5's if they were over 27 pounds, but it looks like they could both wear 4's too if they were under 37...at least for huggies...What do they weight Ocean? Are they really that big? Ty is such a peanut...He still only weighs 22 or 23 pounds now!

Size / Weight
Size 1 / 8-14 lbs
Size 2 / 12-18 lbs
Size 3 / 16-28 lbs
Size 4 / 22-37 lbs
Size 5 / 27+ lbs
Size 6 / 35+ lbs

Huggies. Used them for both my boys, no problems. We buy them in bulk at Sam's Club too.

Blessings, Michelle

I hate the huggies pure and nature.. they leak!!! I love the pampers ultra cruisers that you can only get at BJ's! The hold more, last longer, prevent rash etc. Also the best is BJ's always has a 5.00 off coupon, and than you can use whatever coupons come in the mail from pampers. Also diapers and wipes do get old, they come with an experation date on them so look for that! Many people have no idea! Your best best would be to buy or trade coupons. For example I trade my enfamil coupons for similic coupons so I get my formula for free almost Next I buy coupons on ebay, I got 24 huggues bath product 1.00 off and .75 of wipes and my store had a buy one get one free, so I got the huggies bath stuff for .95 a bottle instead of 3.99 after all the coupons. So we stocked up! I did the same with the wipes, but we use the wipes for everything so we go through them! I only paid like 2.00 for the coupons but saved so much money in the end

So back to your question! We seemed to use the most size 2,3,4 diapers than we did of any other size So we love Pampers Diapers Swaddlers for size newborn-2 and ultra crusiers for 3-5 We love huggies wipes all the sents Much thicker than pampers....

Hope this helps
