Well, for the first time ever I have exciting news! While I was watching Adoption Stories on TV today, I got a call from my SW. We've been chosen by an emom and she wants to meet on Wednesday. She picked us out of 10 profiles (which is exciting, because we were worried she would only have 2 to choose from) and she said she knew we were the ones. She doesn't know what the sex is and she is having a c-section on Friday, so we could be mommy and daddy on Monday. She wants to talk about names, but I'm already bracing myself for her to change her mind. I've picked out one of my crocheted blankets and I have a couple sleepers to give her if she decides to parent. Her mother and uncles were all adopted, so they have a very positive outlook on adoption. Her mother sounds very supportive of her and whatever decision she makes. I'm floating right now and I don't know what to do with myself

Thanks guys. I have been between passing out, crying and telling everyone at the same time. I've achieved a level of calm now and I hope to keep it up for the next few days We told our parents and a few select people and they are excited as well. I hope this starts a cycle of good news for all of us.

midnighttang - what exciting news!!!!

It's great to see so much baby dust flying around here!!!

Now if we could just get our home study finished. I'm starting to get ticked because we've been waiting for two weeks to hear from our new SW to set up our 2nd interview.

Midnight: How awesome!!! I know that it must be amazingly difficult to remain calm, but how exciting to only have days notice instead of months. I think timing-wise it couldn't be more perfect. I will be keeping you all in my prayers!

Bevy: 3 is definately better than 4 And just knowing your baby is growing and will soon be in your arms is awesome!

We are still waiting here. After all these months, I wouldn't mind being matched with an emom still 4 months away from delivery, but I'm praying for a phone call like Midnight's

Peace, baby dust, and lots of "good news phone calls" for everyone
