well will believe it when I get through a couple of meetings but here's the update:

Disclosure meeting: tomorrow morning
Meeting with cw and foster mom: wednesday afternoon

if all goes well....possible placement dates: This Thursday or next Tuesday.

I really hope this is the one I can't even fathom it yet.

I feel where you guys are coming from. I want my phone to ring so badly and for it NOT to be my mother as it always is or some annoying cold caller. 4 mos and still every time I hear the phone ring I get a little excited and giddy and then I look at caller ID "hi mom". Don't get me wrong I love talking to my mother but I would love to talk to a cw with a match much more. Golden- I think it is a good idea to keep up with your vacations you can't rely on a "possible" call. I am doing the same. We make plans to go away and keep things normal as possible. Even at work I supervise students who are in grad school doing their field work and just had one in today who will be starting in January and I thought maybe I should say "no" because who knows when I will get the call and possibly have to leave this girl but then I think who am I to deprive these students on a hope. Worse comes to worse my colleague will finish up the supervision. Point being it is a struggle to feel this incredible urge to receive that phone call saying come pick up your baby and have to live life everyday as if this were just some small piece of the puzzle when we all know this is the real moment we are waiting for.
Keep yourselves distracted ladies (and gents) and hopefully before you know it our babies will be home with us.

Our sw finally responded to my questions...we are not eligible for the "traditional" program in addition to the minority one because you have to be infertile and have no more than one child. As far as we know, we're fertile, and we have three kids. She said that our long wait is unusual and had no answers. She did mention that they only had 8 placements in the last fiscal year, but have already had 8 in the first six months of this one. She hopes the trend continues.

I will be 35 tomorrow and officially of "Advanced Maternal Age" if we decided to go the biological route again. I was only 33 when we started this path, and we both really thought that we'd have our fourth and last baby by now It's hard not to wish that The Call will come on my birthday.

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the site This thread is perfect because we too are waiting for child #2 have to say that I wish I came across this site with our first adoption- it is wonderful to see all the support and information here!! DH and I are the proud parents of a 4 1/2 year old son who we adopted at birth. We started the adoption process about 6 months ago so we are at the wait...wait...wait point of the process currently.

So nice to meet you all, I look forward to getting to know some of you better!
