Question How long did your ICPC take?

Hi guys!

Things are going well around here. I'm starting to get anxious and want to get back home. DH has to return to work on the 20th and I'd love to go back home with him. How long did your ICPC take? We are in GA waiting to go back to NC. Thanks in advance!!

The sent ICPC on a Thursday after we went to court. Fed-ex overnight to the office. We cleared MO on Friday, they sent it overnight to the MA office, and we were cleared to come home on Tuesday. So I guess 4 business days.

17 very LONG Days. However, I will tell you our home state is GA. It took the birth state 16 days to process and GA only 1 day to tell us we could go home.

Check with the ICPC in GA to see if it has been sent to your home state. If so you can call the ICPC in your home state to check the status. ICPC in GA can also tell you when it was mailed and when it was received.

In our situation the adoption agency in the birth state did not send in ICPC paperwork when they said they did. So we were waiting on paperwork that had never been sent. Once it was finally sent our facilitator in GA was very helpful at getting it pushed through in 1 day.

Best wishes and good luck.

Different states but would you believe E was in the hospital 13 days of ICPC (from the fifth day) so ICPC was finished BEFORE we were able to leave? I think it was 10 business days total.

He had a staph infection and had an IV in his head, so our ICPC SUCKED!!!!

In 1998, from DC to Maryland, took two weeks (but there was a paper missing from DC's packet). So, technically, it should have only taken one week-but they had to resubmit.

In 2005, from NY to Maryland, the process was started on a Tuesday and we were cleared on the following Friday.

THERE ARE EIGHT DIFFERENT WAYS YOUR CHILD CAN DIE ON A CORDED WINDOW TREATMENT
Read "How Safe Cords Kill" at www.pfwbs.org

THREE CHILDREN HAVE STRANGLED TO DEATH SINCE ANGEL DIED ON 8/11/09.
Brandyn Coppedge died on 9/11/09. Rosie Smith died on 9/30/09 and Thapelo Kwofie died on 11/1/09. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is no longer recommending safety kits. They are now recommending that anywhere children live or visit should be free of corded window products.

It took 13 days for clearence. It was between Florida and Mississippi. However, it was also over the New Year holiday. Our daughter was released from the hospital on New Years Eve. What a great start to the New Year!

Congratulations on your new little one!

A little over two weeks. We were in WA state waiting to go back to TX. Our agency wasn't "on their toes" so I had to call them every day to check in on the process. Maybe that would help your situation?
Hang in there!

5 business days for us from TX to WI. But that also included time off for the person at the TX ICPC office handling our paperwork. He had the flu for 2 days, so our papework just sat on his desk on Thursday and Friday. We got clearance on the following Monday morning.

As anxious as I'm sure you are to get home, enjoy every moment of this wait. It's hard, but looking back, it was such a neat time.

As I mentioned earlier it was 17 days, but it was 17 days of bonding with no friends or other family members around. Once we got home, I longed for the peace and quite of the hotel.
