Anyone else have to work the 4th?
You'd think they'd take pity on me and give me an extra nurse, but NOOOOO, I have to work 2 stations by myself all weekend. I supposed to get off at 10pm which would let me enjoy the town's fireworks, but that means no breaks for me and running my butt off! Double the patient work load! I sure wish they'd pay me double!
ARGH....sorry, just had to vent! Blessings, Michelle

I'm a nurse here too. I feel your pain. We have new construction on the floor, a brand new computer system that no one knows how to use properly and a fresh set of residents (it's a teaching hospital) who don't know how to write orders correctly yet. So, I get the fun task of working the whole vacation weekend, probaby understaffed and definitely over stressed. You are not alone. I'll think of you as I'm running around.
Bye, Anne
