I tend to agree. But we all know that biracial kids come in all shades, so who's to say?

Here they are (Blanket is missing):

Unfortunately all the threads about him end up with people saying that he deserved to die for molesting children. Even though he was declared non guilty on both occasions and the parents of the first admitted they were doing it for the money.

Sad.

Unparalleled talent. Unparalleled fame. Unspeakable wealth. And a sad, tortured, short, life. Tragic on every level.

Fadzi, I am cracking up at the "image" of you in the Thriller jacket (though I admit I was a Madonna-lookalike myself!).

I am curious to know where his children will be placed. Very sad for them.

Fran, I agree. I saw a legal commentator last night whom I really respect and who covered all this stuff say it was really his "belief" after seeing all the evidence that MJ was innocent of the sex crimes (but of course guilty of terrible judgment!).

I've grown up with MJ's music. He was only a year younger than dh and I. Loved most of his music; thought he was a brilliant writer, dancer and performer.......and feel so sad that even though he appeared to have it all.......there was sadness there.

Supposedly, his mother will get his children.........How fortunate that the world knows/will always know his music.

Sincerely,

Linny

Fadzi - My good freind and hairstylist was on that plane with Aaliyah when she died. He and another guy actually survived the crash but later died in the hospital.

The issue of the kids is looming large. I wonder if he named a guardian for them in his will. I was watching this report on MSNBC online, and they mentioned that during the trial, Debbie (the biological mother of two of the kids) had "regained custody" after TPR years ago. I find that hard to believe...or maybe the attorneys here can educate me (Karen???). If that was possible, our adoptions would always be at risk.

They also spoke about how the possibility that they are not his biological kids might impact who becomes their guardian. Why would this have any impact? He was their legal guardian and raised them.

These people wanna be startin' somethin'!!

Fadzi, weird about the 25th. Man, I was also a huge TLC lover in the day and I really liked Aaliyah (though I was an old bag when she became popular!).

I am trying to remember now who the heck Debbie was ...Did she give birth to the first two kids (and are they her bio kids)? I am vaguely remembering something about her wanting to have custody and then ultimately terminating her parental rights (another payout by MJ, probably!). So I think if her rights were terminated, she would not be in any "position" to seek custody.

Here's an article about where the kids are now....and it looks like Katherine is going to be caring for them, at least in the short term. I hope Michael has a will/named a guardian. Although with him, everything seems to end up in litigation (not what the kids need, I'm sure).

Attorney: Michael Jackson's Kids 'Are Doing Fine' - omg! news on Yahoo!

ETA: Soooo sorry to hear about your friend, Supa. So tragic!

Sbaglio:

When he and Rowe divorced he gained full custody of the children-she TPR'd. However when he was accused for the second time of child molestation, she was going to "talk" unless he gave her visitation rights, which he did.

However knowing Micheal, I'm sure he wrote in his will that his wishes are for the children to be raised by his mother. Rowe has no rights to the children

although they aren't the most respected of sources, tmz is reporting that Ms. Rowe's parental rights were never terminated. Instead, she had given full custody to her ex-husband, maintaining visitation (albeit with a lot of restrictions). She has not been very involved in their lives, but she did not sign away her rights because a judge wouldn't allow it.

It's all so convoluted--much like Michael Jackson's life.
