I'm so sad about this. I grew up on Michael - had a similar Thriller jacket, had the glove, did all the moves, knew all the lyrics to the songs. In later years, I wasn't so much a fan of his, especially with all the accusations. My favorite song of his, "Man In The Mirror", just makes me cry now...

Very sad for the loss of MJ. Seriously, it will be one of those "Where were you" moments for me and I'm sure millions of other people who grew up with his music. His antics never distracted me from loving his music. He will be missed.

Fadzi, "man in the mirror" is my fav too! That and "I want you back".
MJ was a true genius of music. AND dance.
I also loved the song "we are the world" which he co-wrote... kind of commercial and sappy but still a beautiful song.

I liked Ben, I'll Be There, and most of all Billie Jean.

I totally love him and his music. I didn't believe the accusations. Isn't he the biological father of the oldest 2?

I think they're all his bio children. From my understanding, the mom (Debbie) gave up her parental rights to her 2 kids. Sound right to anyone else?

So sad. I can't believe he's gone

P.S. I liked the songs "Rock with you" and "Got me working day & night"

Was really feeling rather sad

and is good to hear I have company. Lots of good 80's memories. DD's dance school recently did a routine to a bunch of snippets from MJ songs. Only weeks ago at their recital I felt a nostalgic twinge...and totally enjoyed the routine!

I always hoped the accusations were merely accusations...who knows.

RIP MJ

Joshie and I watched Billie Jean tonight on YouTube. When Joshie was a babe, we would dance to it in our family room on the stereo; he would just laugh and clap his little hands.

I have the DVD of all his videos too; will have to watch it.

RIP, MJ!

Blessings, Michelle

Have you ever seen those kids? They are as Caucasian as they come. From what I've seen, there are no remote features that suggest ANY African American descent.

I don't know where he go them...but I don't think they're his..

CNN (the gods of correct information) correspondent said none of the 3 are biologically related to MJ.
Rock with me was so awesome and the others that were mentioned!!
Love the thriller video... I used to watch it on mtv as much as I could. Usually that ad for mtv with the astronaut would come on soon after.
(Back when mtv was about music.)

Very sad indeed. His music will always remain part of the good memories of growing up. I hope he is at peace now.

Hey Guys:

I found this article from 2008. It's about the other members of the Jackson 5, man talk about falling on hard times!

May Micheal rest in peace, but he was a piece of work!

So sad tonight. "Gone Too Soon" guided me through my many miscarriages and helped me grieve. I was so counting on more music from Michael Jackson. susan

Can't bring myself to mourn over someone who was repeatedly accused of child molestation.
One of his accusers (the son of MJs maid) settled out of court in 1993 after filing a police report that he was molested from seven to 10 yrs old by MJ. I'm sure it's possible that the maid put her child in harms way for the out of court money. But, this same "boy" went to court in 2004, when he was 24 yrs old, to testify against MJ when another alleged victim had taken him to court. This first young man had nothing to gain from testifying against MJ 14 years after his own incidents.
And the lists go on.
I believe victims were silenced by MJ's hush money. I believe their parents put the children in harms way by allowing them to stay the night in a grown mans bedroom, and that also creeps me out. But, it's very difficult to feel sad while I believe he violated children.
