19 Years Ago Today

I wrote this in dedication to my son, I thought it might be relevant to the topic at hand. I am an adoptee and an adopted father.

To my son - 19 Years Ago Today: 19 Years Ago Today

Love,
Dad

Oh my gosh!! I am soooo incredibly moved, I just cried. Your description of your son's birth and how you felt reminds me soooo much of our experience 4 years ago (on May 27....DD and your son are Geminis!). My hubby is also an adoptee and a very very proud dad like you!! Your son is absolutely gorgeous!!! His smile is just unbelievable...it must light up a room. Thank you for sharing!

What a reminder of how our children need to read and understand the joy and drama of their births. Your words are so moving, so real. Thank you -- written with me sitting here in tears. susan
