OT Stupid Question

Ok so all my friends have like 15 year olds (not exaggerating) so I don't know who to ask!

We have a pretty big bouncy castle filled with balls. At what point (if any) do we take out the balls so he can just jump in there? Are they supposed to be used like trampolines or are the balls supposed to stay?

Our house is literally turning into a theme park. Newest addition: a sand/water table. I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DON'T JUST CALL IT A MUD TABLE!

Oh and our outside is looking like a graffiti'd subway....E writes with chalk over everything! It's chaos! Can anyone relate?

We bought my niece a sand/water table for her birthday. I made sure it could hold water on both sides, so it's used as just a water table, and she uses her sand box seperately. My sister seemed to think that would mean she wouldn't mix them. I asked her if she wanted me to buy a lock for the sand box too? They are mud tables. I swear if you give a kid a pile of rocks he will find a way to turn them to mud...even if he has to grind them down and use his own spit.

I don't know on the bouncy castle. I would leave the balls until he throws them all out of it I guess...I bet he already does that though right?

LOL! YES, I can relate!! Word for word, I can relate! And to make matters worse, my house is for sale Just shoot me now! I would make that a water only table and have a separate (located VERY far away) sand box. Actually, I'd skip the sandbox. Because then your entire freaking kitchen turns into a sandbox when they put sand in their pockets and bring it in the house. Don't ask how I know. About the ball pit... Unless I had a basement which I could shut off from the outside world, I wouldn't bring one into my house at all. I'm not a fun mom, am I?

I don't have the bouncer so no advice, but I can so relate with the theme park. In fact, I have schedule a yard sale in two weeks and my FIL will take DD for the morning so she doesn't see what we are getting rid of.

Take the balls out and let him bounce away. We have one that the boys have outgrown but it sure was used alot when they were smaller.

No kidding about the sand/water table! I can't believe I didn't think of them mixing it-it was the first thing DD did.

I would take the balls out and let him jump. DD (turned 2 in May) has been jumping in those castles since she was about 1. She loves it.

I filled our table with MOON sand, the clean up is much easier but I did buy it in bulk and it comes in different colors making it more fun.

I got it off of amazon, it is a sand that can be formed without water so kids have fun without the mess. Just do a search but the cheapest I found was there. It is kind of like playdough only in sand form - it doesn't dry out and just really has solved our mess delima. Of course you do not want to use it over carpet but sweep it up or vaccum and it cleans fine for me.

I'd take the balls out, Castle has a jumpy thing but we just inflate it on weekends outside in the fenced yard. As for the sand and water table, we have a water table and it's her very favorite summer toy, outside again. Sand, I LOVE it, when it's attached to an ocean, otherwise we don't have it. Since we live in TN we only have a water table and she is fine with that.
Oh yea, one more thing, there are no stupid questions when you are a parent!!
