Hi guys-
A couple of weeks ago I posted that I was worried because I hadn't heard from DD's bmom in over 3 months. Well- Sunday I received an email from her! I was SOOOOOO relieved to see her name when I checked that email account! She's doing OK & asked that I resend the pics that I've sent recently as she didn't get them. I resent them today & also told her I'd start mailing pics to her through the agency as well as emailing. That way she doesn't have to worry about problems with the attachmetns or anything like that. Anyway- thank you all for the advice. I really appreciate it!

Thanks guys- it was such a relief to hear from her! I've been so worried & wondering if she's OK, if I've done something wrong, if I'm pushing too hard for contact, etc.. I decided that I'm going to continue our updates/ pics on the 1st of every 3 months but if she isn't able to reply back to me that's OK. I don't want her to think that I feel like she has to check in... I know she's got alot going on so I'm making myself remember that. I really appreciate everyone's support in this.

On another note- I told someone yesterday that I'd heard from her & how happy I was & that person (an amom that I know IRL) seemed confused taht I was even bothered that I hadn't heard from her in so long. It kind of bugged me- I know the adoption with her child was many years ago & was completely closed but her reaction really irritated me. I guess I can't expect everyone to understand the bond that her & I had - even if we only met briefly.

I think I'm going to send her something through the agency for mother's day... just haven't figured out yet. I thought about some type of angel figuirine--- or should I wait until DD"s 1st bday?? Sorry- a bit off topic on that.. now I'm rambling

(I am sorry you had to deal with the "negative" reaction of another amom...I think it's a tough thing to try to explain to someone who is not in that situation...which makes it kind of isolating!).

That's the nail on the head for me too!! I tend to over analyze things WAY TOO much!!! Not just with the adoption stuff- with everything. I know I need to just chill out & not get bogged down by those details!!
