I guess I'm for a 4th, because I am just SO over Barb! I mean, she chose to come with Bill into polygamy and I just found her leaving last season too much. I am glad to see her embracing things more this season (seemingly at least), even if it was because of her cancer scare. I think there needs to be more of a balance.

I don't think Ana is necessarily the right fit though. I mean, she's older, drinks and smokes. I love her for Margene's friend, but I think Bill could have picked a better one.

He seems out of control this season too. And during the go fish game with Nikki, could he be any more of a dunce?

Okay, and with Sara being pregnant, why isn't she considering parenting????? This is driving me nuts. She does NOT have to place her baby for adoption. I wish she'd consider parenting; she could totally do it. Why add more pain into her life? I think she needs to break away, and parent her future child. And that couple she considered, . Yikes.

What are you all thinking of the adoption story line?

And I can't help it, I love Kathy. She is so perfect for Joey and Wanda. She can support Joey so well and put up with all of Wanda's craziness. I hope she gets her own drinks though.

This is GREAT!!!! (Only I wish we were like this haha)

I'm okay with a fourth I guess, just not Ana, maybe THAT'S my problem with a fourth right now. I think Bill is into her more for her NOT Mormon situation...I was NOT pleased when he slept with her for instance. That is not the principle!!!! (funny how I can be so passionate arguing FOR somethng I don't believe in IRL, haha)

Honestly, I "get" Sarah not considering parenting. I think it's probably pretty realistic that a girl in her situation and of her upbringing would go straight to adoption. of course, I would love to see her have a change of heart and NOT take that route, but I can see why the character would. I mean really, the Dad (don't remember his name) would be totally there for her I think...but she's pushing him away so she'll never know (or WILL she!?!?!) I think it will be a good story line though, and I hope they make it at least quasi-realistic.

And Wanda? Is SUCH a nutjob.

I hope they do get a fourth wife, and I actually hope it's Ana, just because I think it will be good drama.

The adopting storyline...I'm not sure that she's not considering parenting. I don't think it's clear that she's really made a decision, and I think her experience with the "SSA" couple probably didn't make her feel more positive about adoption. I agree with you, TG, that it would be pretty natural for a girl with Sarah's background to consider adoption as a first option, especially given how, um, "encouraging" the LDS church is.

Other random thoughts: I like that Bill seems to be slightly less evil this season...last season I wanted him to go down almost as much as Roman/Alby. Bored with the Margene's mom thing already. Totally wanted Lois to kill the crap out of Frank.

How funny were Lois and Barb's mom together though? I'd love to see more of that.

You guys are totally right on Sarah's character. It does make sense, I just really want her to parent I guess.

I love this show!

I too am not so sure Ana is the right fit - but I do think she can put Nikki in her place anytime, anywhere!

Margene is my favorite but I have to admit, when Bill, Barb, and Nikki are standing around talking and Margene bee-bops her way in it totally reminds me of her being one of their kids.

I wonder why Nikki doesn't want to get pregnant?

How soon until Ana is pregnant... or is their one night of non-marital relations going to turn into a pregnancy exposing what they did. Hmmmmm

I love what Ana and the fourth wife thing has done to Barb though - made her want to control things - she's always so smoothing things over - the fact that she liked Ana o much when Ana complained about the double standard- right on and I like how Ana saw the wives in the window and longed for that

I also totally cracked up with the pre-adoptive family - over eager and totally dysfunctional
About the adoption - I wonder if she just is so fed up with building family that she isn't seeing the grief she have to live with clearly - I was really impressed that she knew herself well enough as a teenager to say she didn't want to stay with her older boyfriend.

BTW Margene's baby girl is totally, roundly adorable - doesn't do much to stop my baby crazies

I also like their houses-

My husband says I like this show so much he thinks maybe we should just move to Utah ( his company has a setup there) and start living by the principle - I'm not there yet but the show is lots of fun

I love this show!! I haven't seen it in about a week because we JUST gave up cable. I'll have to go to my mom's on Monday to watch the last 2!!! My fav is Margene- I just think she's so funny. It's a great show!!

What is the deal with their kid's names though? A baby girl named Nell??? A son names Lester. A little weird to me. Bill has to go be picking those out. (Sorry if I've offended anyone who has named their kids Nell or Lester).

I'm glad Sara dumped Scott. He seemed a little bit creepy to me.

I know... I thought that was pretty interesting with the fertility doc.

I agree about Ben's girlfriend!! He hasn't had much of a story line this season.

You know... I love the show for the entertainment value of it but I also started researching about pologomy & even read a book by Carolyn Jessop.. It's so strange. WHen they had that big raid in TX I was like glued to the TV with that. It just shocks me that things like this are really going on!! Carolyn Jessop came here recently & had a book signing. My MIL & I went- it was very interesting to hear her talk about all of the abuse & scandal that goes on in these communities. (Sorry- didn't mean to get all serious!!)
