OT: Changing color pics to black-and-white?

Hi,

Does anyone know if this can be done online with digital photos? There are some great pictures of our DD that I would like to have in black-and-white.

If not online, does anyone know how I can go about doing this??

Thanks!

I would think the simplest way would be for you to download a free program like Picasa or gimp and then use the black and white button and adjust the contrast. I love picasa and use it as a photo storage and organization. Good Luck!

Just a quick look on google:
How to Convert Color Digital Images into Black and White Ones
- seems complicated
Convert your photos to black and white
- using microsoft's editor

I use Picasa for most of my editing. There are several ways to change to black and white with it that will give you some flexibility. And it's free!

Just a quick reminder - always save your newly converted image as a differently named file, otherwise you will lose the original color image.

I am a mac lover, so photoshop or iphoto is the only way for me.

Also, you can upload digital files to Shutterfly, and there is an editing feature where you can convert to black and white.

Good luck!
