unimaginable tragedy
I cannot believe this happened so I wanted to tell you, my friends here on a.com. The baby we were going to adopt was murdered at 5 weeks old by his stepfather! here's the link Man Charged With Murder In Infant's Death - Jacksonville- msnbc.com
I wish I had done something, anything, to protect him when she said she was going to parent. Say a little prayer for all of us please.

Oceanica,

I can't breathe, right now, I'm so upset for you! This is horrible! I'm close to vomiting, that is so awful, and my visceral reaction. I can't imagine the new layer of grief this adds to the situation.

You, your family, and all the people who know and love this precious little boy are in our prayers.

On my gosh!!! I am so so so sorry that this precious baby had to deal with this. This type of thing makes me completely sick to my stomach. I'm praying for everyone related to this.

4/08: application submitted with agency
6/25/08 - officially waiting
6/28/08 - Matched!!
6/28/08 - it's a girl!! She's born!!
6/29/08- We meet the most beautiful baby girl in the world & the amazing mother that gave birth to her!!
7/9 - ICPC has cleared - we can go home!!
2/17/09- Finalized!!!

After dealing with infertility, IVF & a miscarriage I finally realize what God had in store for us! What a joyful time to be alive!

I am so saddened by reading this article. I'm so sorry! This must just be horrifying!

You are all in my prayers as are the other 4 children of this mother. Ugh, my heart just aches right now.

I'm so sorry that this happened. I can't imagine how you feel with what's happened. I'm shocked at the cruelty some people can inflict on others, especially defenseless children.

I am SO incredibly sorry. Truely. I recently took care of a baby whose mother broke his leg. She too was going to place him for adoption. My heart broke for the baby. And my heart breaks for you and that child.
