I think he is teething!!!

Baby A is very clingy, not napping good, not eating baby food very well (kinda sucks it off the spoon), chews on me any chance he gets and is not happy unless I am holding him (or if he is in his walker). DH says he looks like a baby Koala bear the way he hangs onto me.

Is it teething or just a phase?

Sounds like teething to me! Do you notice any swelling on his gums?

Teething doesn't bother David if it's only one or two at a time. He's getting two now and it's not affecting him at all. But when he got 4 at once, that's pretty much how he acted. Clingy, not sleeping well, not eating well. Poor baby was very uncomfortable. Tylenol was the most helpful, but what really got him back to normal was when they all finally cut through.

He's got this adorable little gap toothed grin now that just kills me.

Smile Probably Teething

L was very fussy and cranky months before her first tooth broke through. She drooled and chewed on everything like a puppy. I never noticed swollen gums. She didn't get her first tooth until she was around nine months old. Then they all just started popping up at once. She just popped out her first molar.. that was NOT fun! With this last one, she didn't really cry or get too fussy until bedtime when she wasn't pre-occupied with other things. The only way she would quit crying was orajel and tylenol at bed time. We did this for a couple of days and it was all better.

***BTW!!! Baby *A* is getting SOOOOOOO big!!!! The next time I see him, he'll prolly be running around!!!!***

We have been using Motrin since it last longer then tylenol. I just got a good look in his mouth and can see FOUR teeth under the gums

DH and I was just talking about how much baby A has changed in just the last couple weeks. His hair is starting to grow and I think he grew a foot (o.k maybe not that much .)

I cant wait to see L again .I bet she is gettin big too.. Are you coming to the picnic this year?

Sounds EXACTLY like Nate! His sleep schedule is a mess, fusses in his sleep, wants his binky again, and chews on EVERYTHING! That, and he is suddenly super clingy! We have been jokingly calling him our little tick - physically stuck to me and sucking the life out of me! (Or maybe it just feels like it after having to try and go to the bathroom for the 5th time in day with him holding on for dear life!)

I can't for those teeth to pop through and give us all a break!

I know what you mean about sucking the life out of you. If I even think about putting him down he screams. I can't even get a break when I'm sleeping because he sleeps on me half the night .

Have you tried Baby Orajel? That really helped both of mine (who both got their first teeth at 5-6 months). They didn't like me to apply it but once it kicked in they were obviously relieved and muchhhh happier. Also unless there is a medical reason not to, you can alternate Motrin and Tylenol every three hours.
