Adopting Two at Once
Hello all, new here! I was just wondering if it is possible to adopt two children at once? Can I use the same homestudy and work with two different agencies (domestic) at once and, therefore, adopt two children around the same time? (Actually, with one agency it is a 9-month wait average and with another is an 18-month wait average so the two children could be a year apart in age.) Any idea if this is possible? Thanks so much!

It depends on the agency. Lots of them require you to stop your process if you're matched, and don't let you adopt until your first is 1.
I'd just ask around.

Depends on your state laws, in some states as soon as you adopt one child, your home study is void and must be redone. In some states you can just update it and send the other agency with whom you are still waiting a new profile book including details of the new addition.
