I read all the posts and saw your latest one. I think you are wise to do what your plan. Afterall it is all in God's hand and He knows the baby or babies that are meant to be yours.

How exciting for you. It os DEFINATELY doable. Two of mine were so close together though not special needs as far as delays.
I also agree that alot of delays are do to neglect and just laziness on the parents part. One of the patients that comes to where I work has her almost 2year old in a stroller because it is easier for her not to have the child walk. Honestly I have never seen the child walk or stand for that matter. Alot of times the parents don't want to bother chasing the kids around so it is easier to keep them immobile. Very sad I know, but they do catch up when given the chance with proper care.

I can speak directly to this, however, with a different reason. Babies in Guatemala are often held non-stop and many foster mothers don't know/don't do "tummy time."

So a lot (most) children come home from Guatemala physically delayed.

And most catch up lightning fast...as in, way faster than you would imagine!!

GRRRR, one of the PBF was all for signing papers yesterday- now his mother(1.5 y.o. grandmother) doesn't want him (probable dad) to sign, GM wants to raise the baby... So, the PBM said no way will she allow "him" to raise the child she will raise him before she will allow PBF&GM to raise him. So, we are at a stand still at this point in time. We basically told the attorney if they can get papers signed without any court battles or complications, then we were interested... If they were going to fight or go through legal complications to "remove us from the case as legal fees could go beyond our budget".

I swear I think we are jinxed!!! I know it'll happen when it happens, but gosh this is tough!

I guess, until something is resolved in the situation we will know nothing...

Friday we will know something one way or the other for the 2 week old male that PBM is deciding on... My heart goes out to her as she struggles with the heart wrenching decision she is faced with... What ever her choice I knw that she has truly considered her options and hope she finds peace!
