I want to Thank Brandy and Others who keep this site up and running!
Dear Brandy and Others
![]() I wanted to take this time to thank you and all the her wonderful people who keep this site clean and free from trolls and other unwanted things! This last year I have really noticed a difference and everyone appears to get along and help each other. That is what life is all about, helping each other. It has been wonderful for me on all sides of adoption and fostercare to be able to come on here, ask questions, give advice etc in a safe manner! So as we come into the New Year, I wanted to thank you Brandy and others for all the hard work you do for this site! It is a blessing that people like yourself care enough to help keep this site running good, and answering questions when we have issues with the site! Again, I wanted to thank you and the others for everything! Please have a Happy New Year and keep up the GREAT work on the site ![]() God Bless, Summer and Family ![]()

What a great thread! Add me to the list of people who are very thankful for everyone who makes this forum run so smoothly. I have learned more about adoption and fostering here than I ever could have learned on my own. The information and support is incredible!
Happy New Year, everyone, and thanks for what you do for this site!!

Thanks everyone!
I've been pretty busy these last few weeks and haven't been on the forums to see the message. I'd like to take a minute to thank the 'others' by name - we have such a great team of volunteer moderators here on the forums and they do such a wonderful job making sure that the forums are a fun and safe place for everyone! First, my forums co-administrator and all around 'get it done' gal - Crick. She makes my job so much easier to do. Without her, I'd have checked myself in to the nearest state hospital long ago! Our Community Moderators - the ones who have the ability to moderate anywhere at any time: DPline, AKA Debbie. Started out as one of our Guatemala Moderators and quickly joined the ranks of our CM Team. Debbie is fair and balanced - but not in a Fox News sort of way. She really is. Her husband is a Michigan State fan, but we try to overlook that... Kelceesmom, who we call Denise, has gone from our "GAPS" mod to the CM Team as well - Denise has faced a lot this year and through it all, continued to remain active here on the forums. Her drive and passion for making Adoption.com a great place is displayed in her continued participation, even during personal struggle. MOmmy24, who most of us call Momchelle due to the large number of "Michelles" on the team at one time, is one of two birth mothers on the CM team and is also our most seasoned. Like Denise, Momchelle has faced a number of personal struggles, but continues to stay active, which is something we really appreciate! SpecialK4b, the K in her username stands for Karen, joined the ranks as a China Adoption Moderator - initially part of the moderating team to pass time while waiting for her turn to fly to China and meet her daughter, Karen's life took a 180 turn when she fell in love with her son, Micah, on the waiting childs list and brought him home earlier this year. Even with the new responsibility of motherhood, Karen has continued to be one of our CM Members and we're tons better because of it! Thanksgivingmom, who we call TGM because she so secretive, even WE don't know her name, is the 'resident safe-haven birth mother'. TGM joined the forums shortly after placing her child using the Safe Haven laws in her state. Due to her fairness in participating with users and her willingness to help when needed, TGM was recruited to join the CM team and has been with us ever since. In addition to our great team of Community Moderators - several of our forums has a dedicated moderator (or two) who is the 'first line of defense' when things start going south. Without them, the CM Team wouldn't have enough time to play Tetris and change each others avatars to silly snowmen and cats. Alexismandyjr - is one of our Guatemala Adoption Moderators and does a bang up job! CNB1099 - handles a number of the Adoptee forums and is a great help! Fran27 - our newest forum moderator, keeps things in order in the General Adoptive Parents Support (GAPS) Forum. kakuehl - is a birth mom who helps out in the Birth family topics. KarenInCA - stays on top of things in the China Adoption Forum. MommytoEli - covers most all of the Central and South American Adoption Forums - and is a source of endless comic releaf (Ask her about her fire arms) momraine - manages to keep things in order on Russia and Poland and is trying to grow our Physical Disabilities forum (be sure to check it out!) TaraMayRN - One of three birth mothers who moderates the birth parent area - new mom to a beautiful baby girl and a nurse (that's what the RN stands for...) Tigger27 - the last of the three birth mothers who moderates the birth parent area - Tigger got married this year and moved to AZ, of all places! Withay - her name "With A Y" is an attempt to remind people that her name is not spelled with an I, as is common...she's our Foster Care/Foster Parent moderator and we're glad she's part of the team. Our moderating team ebbs and flows and we're always on the lookout for great members who display courtesy, respect and working knowledge of adoption topics. Without our forum moderators, Community moderators and Administrators - this forum would NOT be what it is today. I was here, as a member, back before rules were in place and moderators were on board. It may sound like blissful heaven, but I can assure you - it was not. So, I'd like to say a hearty THANK YOU! To all of our moderators who do a great job keeping the forums safe and friendly for our users. Because of you, we're here!
