Christmas Miracle
Last week we talked with a birth mom that seemed interested and we decided to move forward with her. She was due 1-5.
She went into labor last Friday, we hopped on a plane from WA to AZ (in between snow storms!), got there for the birth on Saturday, ICPC cleared on Monday (!!), first available flight home was last night - but we are home for Christmas with our new daughter. What a ride! Pics are at Washington Mama Everything was so smooth and easy. I roomed with the birth mom and baby for the 24hrs that they were in the hospital. It was a very special time and I loved getting to know our birth mom. What a special Christmas gift!

#1 DS  1/12/04 B came to us as a foster infant Our miracle placement - a healthy 7 week old infant that was a clear TPR and foster to adopt placement, and he was our first foster placement! 7/21/06 adoption finalization #2 somewhere out there is our daughter... Decided to go with domestic independent adoption Started adoption research 12/07 Signed with Lifetime (facilitator) 1/08 Home Study and profiles done Waiting, waiting, waiting  ... 3/08Matched and waiting for 6/27 due date 5/14/08 Match fell apart 5/23  Back to waiting... Baby Girl born 12-20-08  Brought her home Christmas Eve  Celebrating the journey of life at www.washingtonmama.blogspot.com

1993 decided to start a family 1995 discovered problems 1995-1998 fertility Drs and surgeries 1999-2003 break from it all 2003-2005 thought about adoption but trying to find a way to afford it. 2006 decided to do whatever it took to create a family. Money should not decide a family! January 2006 gathering information applying for homestudy. July 2006 homestudy completed- we are officially waiting! July 06-March 09 Several situations that didn't work out.. Our baby will find us, until then...We are 4-everwaiting for our angel It finally happened after over 2.5 years of waiting, our angel found us!!! ... Baby Girl Born March 10th! Home forever March 19th, 2009

Wow, it all happened so fast! Congrats! I've read your blog before, but I didn't realize you're with Lifetime. Us, too!
They've only had our profiles for about a month, so we haven't been waiting long yet. You give me hope!By the way, my name's Kristin, too! Are you the Kristin that posts on the Lifetime boards?
