Nothing deep and intense, just a little story to hopefully give you a smile.
This story probably sounded so much funnier coming out of my 19 year old daughters mouth as she stood dripping all over my floor wrapped in a towel and totally at her wits end, so here is what happened.
Excited to be home for the holidays and spend quality time with her 23 month old sister, my oldest eagerly asked her if she wanted to take a bubble bath. (one of my youngest favorite activities) I hear them giggling and splashing as the water is filling up and realize this is their time and I head on down the hall. 10 minutes later my oldest appears as discribed earlier and says "I have paid my dues for my whole break". So she says "first I wanted to rinse my hair and told "s" to sit still as I slid down in the bath tub and let the water cover my whole face, "s " thinking she is just as big slides down and the next thing I know she jumps up choking and I can't get her to quit and then suddenly she throws up and their are chunks everywhere (sorry about the graphic discription)" she continues " when she throws up then she slips and falls and I start telling her to to get up out of the dirty water as I quickly pull the plug and reach for her, little did I know she had been soaping up her hands and rubbed them right over her eyes and started screaming at the top of her lungs and I couldn't use the bubble infested chunky water and I didn't have time to warm it up so I turned on the cold and filled my cup and doused her with it, her screaming stopped momentarily and then she looked like she was going to lose it and started screaming COLD COLD COLD." They both looked so worn out, but I couldn't help but laugh. |

That's so cute. Thanks for the story. I really needed a laugh tonight, and your story gave it to me. Thank you!

Not only did I laugh - I laugh until I cried.
Our oldest dd often supervises our youngest in the bath... but she'd never be brave enough to actually get in. Now I'll have to tell her she's made a wise decision. |
