Gifted.....at being sneaky?

Didn't want to hi jack the other thread since this is a different kind of gifted. I was wandering if any of you think I should be concerned (although it was very cute and I had to laugh)

So my 23 month old had been eating candy all night. We told her "no more" . Well she found a hershey kiss on the floor and started to unwrap it. I told her no more and to go put it on the table. So off she goes down the hall and then she turns the corner where I couldn't see her. Little did she know, her 14 year old brother walked up behind her. She had stopped walking and started unwrapping her kiss. He said "what are you doing?" she jerked to attention, shoved the candy into the palm of her hand and preceeded to fold her hands gently, bow her head and close her eyes and say "Thank you God .." at which point she opened one eye and looked up slightly and noticed her brother still there so she closed her eye again real quick and started again "thank you God" and this time opened her hand just a tad and took a bite , closed her hands again and said "thank you God again" What am I going to do? She already knows know to try and fool us?

You....are....DOOMED!!!!! That is hilarious!

I don't think you're in for a life of crime, but during the teen years, I would hover over her like a hawk!!

I remember when AJ was about the same age, and he was pilfering cookies...I told him NO MORE! He snuck in the kitchen and I walked up behind him and said "What is in your mouth?"

And he says "Teeth!" and procedes to show me a mouth full of baby teeth and peanut butter cookie...

I love kids!

I love the fact that she is going to be my right of passage in motherhood. My pediatrican has teased me about that alot because my 19 year old never had a time out, never pulled a bear, never lied to me (even when I would have rather heard a lie if it was about a boy I didn't like or something) Has never drank a drop and promised me that she would not have sex until 19. I know she kept her promise until then, but I didn't ask afterwards, don't want to know . lol
my almost 14 year old is alot like her, but stubborn, and then my little one already knows how to "snow" people.

Well, my 7 yr old son is exactly like this. i found a whole box of triscuits under his pillow the other night. he snuck down stairs while we were still up and got them and then couldnt open them so literally tore the whole thing apart trying to get them to open, and then still couldnt so he snuck down again and got my kitchen shears and cut the bag open. the scary part is that i didnt hear a thing and i was in the next room!! i do watch him very closely cuz if he can take it, he will. i would start kicking it in the butt while she's young, once she gets older its harder to reteach things i think. good luck Rach

LOL!! It sounds like she was praying that your son would just disappear, so she could eat that kiss in peace!! "thank you god...", I think it's sweet and completely natural!

Thanks for the laugh, though!!
