Needed: hair style site for little girls

My oldest daughter has stick straight hair 1/2 way down her back and she's tired of dealing with the tangles. I told her if she still wanted it cut this weekend, we'd get it done.

Anyone know of a site where she and I can browse styles? I'd really love one where we can upload her picture to "try it out."

When my DD's hair gets long and he starts getting tangles, we usually can just cut off a couple of inches and it is much better. Does she want a new style or just no tangles?

Also, as my DD got older she had to move to more mature shampoo rather than baby shampoo to handle her thick hair. I don't know what you use now, but DD uses the Suave Smoothers for kids and it works well to keep tangles out.

I got the Suave Smoother and it's so much worse on her hair. She has very thick, adult-type hair. Her brother & sister both have baby fine curly hair.

Klutz makes a book for kids on hair styles

Also a famous one of mine is take tiny pony tails and tieing them off with several rubberbands and then tucking them under and pulling the through. It kinda hurts sensetive heads BUT it lasts 2 days and it looks SO cute.

I would suggest using Joico Daily Hair Conditioner. It is a little pricy, but a small bottle lasts me about a year or more. AFTER the shower and hair is towel dried, just add about the size of a dime to your hands, rub it around and then pull your hands thru her hair. It works wonders and does not leave any residue in the hair. I actually can get away using it every other time because it conditions the hair so well, the tangles stay gone. Another trick is using a hair pick to comb thru the wet hair....the pick is the detangling kind with different size"bristles"...not sure what to call them. Hope this helps!!

We have an appointment on Wednesday afternoon with Mo, our hair goddess. Regardless of anything else, she needs the ends and her bangs trimmed. I'm willing to pay for something for the tangles because I know she loves her hair, but if Mo can't suggest something, it's time for a new, shorter cut.

I'll ask Mo about Joico Daily Hair Conditioner. Do you think I could get that at Sally's beauty supply?

I am not sure about Sally's. I got it at a hair styling shop who carried Joico. Then the last time I bought it, I got it online just because I now live in the middle of nowhere. This is where I buy it now and it is much cheaper than any salon: Joico Daily Care Daily Balancing Conditioner Liter

It is the top item on the site. They call it a conditioner but you can use it like I described and it works wonders.
