Another Sims 2 person over here, though not playing as much recently. When DS first came home he took long naps on my lap every day and I'd play with one hand and support him with the other. I'd be stuck for anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours, couldn't change positions or get up, so the hobby I thought I'd have to give up got even more attention than it did before. Now I'm more into either watching DH play a game (right now it's the Ratchet and Clank games), exploring SecondLife, or reading. I've been trying to get back into reading, my big love when I was a kid, but it's kinda tough. I'm working my way up from graphic novels and short stories (and, um, fanfiction...). Maybe one day soon I'll be able to read a novella! I also plan to teach myself to sew sometime soon and I'm trying out new recipes, because it's fun, saves money and is healthier. I'm so proud of my cinnamon raisin pretzels!

You rock. I used to read graphic novels (but golly, they're expensive) and I've admittedly written some fanfiction. And you thought just reading it was embarrassing to admit

Wow! What a legacy you have! Have they told you their stories? I am just fascinated at the triumph of human spirit.

I will definitely send you a pm with my favorites. I'll look for the titles and pm you tomorrow. I think I read almost all of the memoirs in San Diego county and my home county now.

Mine are pretty boring...I love, love, love to read (often reading at least 3 books at once). On any given day, I read books, magazines, online, newspapers, etc. I am such a junkie.

Other than that, I love to garden, amateur paint, practice yoga, keep up with friends (with 2 two-year-olds, this IS a hobby) and since it's winter, I love to cook.

Oh, and of course, travel. That is my biggest hobby.

So. . . do you have a hobby? (Oh, please, tell me there is SOMEONE out there that doesn't have a hobby, so I don't feel like a complete loser!! LOL)

Maybe you are just preparing for having children! I ask this question of moms at least 5-10 times per day. Most of the ladies with 0-1 child have some type of interest/hobby, but most of the moms with 2 or more kids just laugh.

I've written some too... shhhhh!

I get my graphic novels from the library, had to stop visiting my long-time comic store when we started saving up for Pax's adoption. There are several in our area that are in the same system (use the same card) and that have kid's story times. I go to the same one most weeks and reserve things to be sent there that I want to read, but every 2-3 weeks I'll stop by another one and just grab a huge load of books. We don't have a limit on the number we can take out, we have 3 weeks, can renew online and can return at any library in the system, so it's all very convenient. I love it, we go to the library once or twice a week, dance and sing and do an activity, visit our respective sections, then come home and geek it up! Pax will be on the floor flipping through his books (after I've read every single one at least once both at the library and at home) and "reading" to himself, and I'll sit back with a graphic novel and we'll have some "quiet time."

Oh..me too! Even though I do most of the work as cheap as I can, I think my husband is tired of my neverending list of projects (for me not him).

This is true! I used to scrap like a maniac... back when I just had one Now with three (or more depending) I have NO time for anything like that

I DO read -a lot. I am not sure that reading qualifies as a hobby or a vice The one thing that changed in regards to reading, with the influx of kids, was that I re discovered the library I used to buy books ($$$!) and now I only borrow and it is really great! I can get best sellers pretty quick after they come out and request books from any library branch in my state
